Chopin was not a great composer

So says Dr David C F Wright. Not quite the popular opinion of Chopin's work and, in my view, an ill-considered one. Props to Marcus Maroney of Sounds Like New for pointing us to it. It is indeed worth several good chuckles. Read all of it here, including some choice naughty bits.

Who is this guy Dr. Wright? This article cannot be written by someone who knows how to play the piano. I'm dismayed that Peter Katin, a distinguished pianist, has some sort of association with this fellow. This article about Chopin is not even fit for publishing by the National Enquirer. It's purely trash and a complete waste of time for anyone to read it.
